Stainless 13-8 AMS 5629

Principal design features of stainless 13-8 AMS 5629 include the fact that it is a precipitation, age hardenable stainless steel. Its principal features are high transverse toughness, good resistance to general and stress corrosion cracking, and high strength that is developed by a single low temperature heat treatment. Applications of stainless 13-8 AMS 5629 include aircraft components, valves, shafts, and components in the petrochemical and nuclear industries. Although stainless 13-8 AMS 5629 can be machined in all conditions, best results can be obtained in condition H1150M.

Stainless 15-5PH AMS 5659

Stainless 15-5PH AMS 5659 is a martensitic, precipitation hardening, chromium-nickel-copper stainless steel. Stainless 15-5PH AMS 5659 combines good strength, transverse toughness and ductility, hardness capability and corrosion resistance compared with 304 stainless. It may be used in the solution treated condition or heat treated to obtain a wide variety of properties.

Stainless 17-4PH vac AMS 5622

Stainless 17-4 PH vac AMS 5622 withstands corrosive attacks better than any of the standard hardenable stainless steels. If there is stress corrosion cracking, the higher aging temperatures then must be selected over 550°C. Stainless 17-4PH vac AMS 5622 is subject to crevice if exposed to stagnant seawater.
